Lab for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine
We are a young, diverse, and interdisciplinary team of scientists dedicated to developing deep learning methods for medical applications. Our goal is to extract valuable knowledge from clinical routine data and advance diagnostics and treatment in precision medicine.
We are based within the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology of RWTH Aachen in close proximity to the Netherlands and Belgium.
The Team

Research
We focus on developing and applying advanced machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights from clinical routine data. We develop multimodal fusion algorithms and investigate the potential of generative models, large language models and have an expertise in cancer imaging and Musculoskelettal Imaging.

We are currently funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the European Union.
